Dr. Richard D. Ruppert Rotary Trail

The Dr. Richard D. Ruppert Rotary Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Toledo! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Dr. Richard D. Ruppert Rotary Trail. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided map data for this trail to Bring Fido for informational purposes only. Great views

a really nice area to run, in-line skate, walk, walk the dog. there are very nice views of the local High level bridge and Maumee River. Tall, oaks and cottonwoods shade the area and there are several picnic tables in the shade. Parking is free and easy. The trail, tables and parking lot are well maintained. Right across the street are some great restaurants with outdoor seating with proximity and views of the river. As well as docking for boats--very nicely done (not trashy looking) and bench seating to enjoy the views.
