- MelanieDec 31, 2022Really great park
Large grassy, not muddy, area. Great open space that is large enough for dogs to run. Often can be busy but is large enough to move to another area if there is a dog that your dog needs to avoid. Parking right next door.
- AlexAug 8, 2021Huge dog park. Water source available
This is an amazing dog park. Separate areas for small dogs Sheltered tables. Description says there is no water source. But there is a water source right next to the entrance gates. Highly recommend.
- KateAug 8, 2019Great locations except for one owner
This is a great dog park if you have a dog that has tons of energy. We run our puppy around in the 35 and under area until she’s big enough for the other area. The only downside to this area is one owner and his dog Cleo. She has aggressively nipped at my dog and other dogs. The owner has been warned many times not to bring her back. When I confronted him (albiet it was pretty aggressive because his dog just nipped mine) he denied it (even with 10 or so witnesses) and pulled out a muzzle and moved his over 35 dog to the over 35 area. This owner is endangering the smaller dogs because of his carelessness.

Our labradoodle Chloe first timer at a dog park. She was a little nervous at first but eventually warmed up her new friends. They separate big dogs from little which is nice. Def a spot to come back to.
- ShApr 14, 2019Great Fun
I’ve been bringing my dogs here for the better part of a year. Very large area, relatively well-maintained. Lots of parking, and the small dogs are separated from the big dogs. You have to bring your own bowl and water, but doggie potty bags are provided. The people all seem to get along as well. No one really breaks the dog size rule— occasionally there will be a bigger dog in the small side, but it’s always a gentler, older dog that’s too timid or tired for the big dog side so it’s fine. It hasn’t been a problem and the people are also understanding of the situation. You rarely are there by yourself, even on the small dog side. It’s a nice alternative to Thompson Park. Worth checking out!!
- Jim longenbergerMore than a year agoGreat place to let your dog run and be free .
Found out about the park and have been taking my dog there for the last year and a half . The park is very spacious and there's plenty of room to run for dogs of all sizes and breeds . It's a great place to bring your dog knowing that he or she will be safe and be allowed to run free. I live in a town home so I have to walk my dog on a leash Oceanport dog park is a heaven sent for my dog.
- KaraMore than a year agoFirst time, will go back
Yesterday (7/10/12) we took our dogs to this park for the first time and we all had a great time. Huge park, so much bigger then any other park we've been to. People and dogs were friendly, minus one gentleman that carried around a knife on his hip and made it known that he wasn't afraid to use it to defend his dog! (that totally freaked us all out) besides that it was a wonderful park with a great group of dogs and owners. We will go back ASAP! One down fall no water for dogs, must bring your own.
- JohnMore than a year agoOn of the best parks in the monmouth/ocean county area
It's big and there are always plenty of other dogs there.
- CRMore than a year agoPlenty of Room to Romp!
Friendly dogs and friendly people frequent here! This park opened in the Fall 2008 so it's still fairly new to many people and word is still spreading around. This is a spacious fenced-in dog park located hidden off the beaten path nearby the Monmouth Racetrack parking area. There are two fenced areas side by side... one larger areas for ALL dogs, and a smaller area for those owners who want to separate their smaller dogs. Both areas provide PLENTY of room for dogs to frolick and run around. Plus there are several shaded structures with tables/benches if you want to get out of the direct sunlight. Occasionally you will see Monmouth County Parks System personnel drive around in their county trucks and cleaning out the garbage pails/replenishing the waste bags. Only downside is that you have to remember to bring your own water and dish, but this is a very minor inconvenience to me considering how close this great park is!
