This beach is for the dogs
Asbury Park Dog BeachThe 8th Ave dog beach is great. Surf, sand and a dogs… what else could you ask for? Asbury is the most dog friendly town in NJ, with a welcoming attitude toward any well behaved dog. There is the Wonder Bars “Yappy hour” and a few restaurants that offer a dog menu so you fur-friend can join you for an outdoor meal. We recommend it all!

Better then nothing
Dog Park at Heavenly FarmsThis dog park is ok. It’s 40/60 dusty fine gravel and patchy grass respectively, not a great combo for wet tennis ball. There are water fountains are located in each of the fenced areas but more often then not they aren’t functioning. We have run into some aggressive dogs there and many people bring their unspayed/un neutered dog in which is against the posted rules. As previously stated it’s better then nothing but drive a little further if you have the time. Your fur-friend is worth it.
