Westland Hills Dog Park

Fido is invited to play at the Westland Hills Dog Park in Albany, NY. Dogs must be sociable, current on all vaccinations and under their owner's control at all times. Amenities include a bench, picnic table, seasonal water spigot and a waste station. The yard area is mainly dirt. Visit Website

Lots of shade
Small, but has lots of shade, wading pools, and water. Probably not the best park after a heavy rain, but on dry days it's fine. After a nice off-leash run, you can take your dog for a walk in the adjacent Westland Hills Park.
I like to use this park to train my dog off-leash.

dog run
Dog run seemed ok. Not that big, but it was close to the hotel and my job.
I loved taking my dog in the field at night and in the morning. He chased rabbits, and got a workout with those hills. If your dog is good off-leash, this park is pretty awesome!!

Mud bowl
A largish space for dogs to run, and convenient location. The problem is that the place is shady, so nothing grows there. It's a mud pit on rainy days.
