    Got the job done

This park is definitely not a fancy place but it has everything you need for safe space for your dogs to roam… fully fenced in, several benches, table area, poop bags and trash can. I like that there is a seperate fenced area to settle your dogs before and after playing. The park is not usually crowded when I go and I get to get my dogs off the leash.

    Nice large fenced dog park

Nice dog park but no bathrooms for humans. Not a great area either but when your pups gotta get the wiggles out, it worked for us.

    Sucessful Visits-am and pm

Me and my young dog visited for first time as we had a day in town. It was only one dog and its owner there, my dog and me had a fine experience. In the afternoon two dogs was there w owner. My dog was a bit unsure at first but got used to quickly.
The place was friendly, safe and clean, and had a pool for the dogs. to play in. We did an am and pm visit, and my dog and me will come back again when we are in town. A FIVE Bone day!

    Near Disaster

I brought my very small dog and when I got there nobody was there. Within about 5-10 minutes a young man pulled up with at least 6-7 dogs he was trying to control but not being so successful. Before i had time to leash my puppy or pick him up, the other patron opened the gate and let his entire pack in unleashed all at once. Of course, they headed straight for my little guy. This patron not once tried to control his dogs around mine and it resulted in my little guy being rolled over by the pack about half a dozen times. Also, this other patron was not picking up after his pack who were pooping all over the place. The patron not only did not apologize to me, but began to berate me about my dog not being socialized. I will never go there again.

    Wide-open space

I take my GSD to all of the dog parks in Albany; I like them all, but this one is my favorite. It's very large, has running water, plastic pools for the dogs to splash in, and a beautiful gazebo for humans to hang out in.

People are generally considerate about picking up their dog's poop, but no dog park is perfect. I try to pay it forward by picking up a few poops that are not my dog's.

I commend Albany DGS for making these parks available to us, and for maintaining them so well.

    Sunday Afternoon

I brought my dog here today on the afternoon of Feb 6th. She really enjoyed herself and all of the other dogs also got along well. I would have given it five bones but there was some poop left around by other owners and it was extremely muddy. Aside from those two things it was a perfect place!

    Gross

Been there twice. Won't go back even though it's only 5 minutes away. Although owners might pick up their dog's poop if it's near the entrance or gazebo area, but beyond that, it seems nobody observes that rule. The rest of the field is covered in land mines, and if you venture out there, at some point you WILL step in s**t. And probably so will your dog eventually. So much for running around with your pet. It's too bad that so many people couldn't be bothered to do the right thing.

    Nice Off Leash Dog Park

I brought my dog in early April to get her some play time with other dogs. We'd never been there before, but I was pleased. It offers a lot of running room, water and a shaded Gazebo to get some shade for dogs and owners. I especially liked the double gated entryway. It allows entry and exit for you and your dog without fear of letting the others out. On the Sunday we went there were about 8 - 10 dogs of varying sizes and breeds. Every owner kept a watch on their own dog and their were no problems. I would go again, even though it's over 10 miles from our home.

    Hit or Miss

I've taken my dog 4 times, and 2 out of 4 were great. The dogs were for the most part polite, and the people were very friendly.

However, the last 2 times (I'm never going again) my dog was mobbed the second she walked in. Once even before she made her way into the park. A yorkie had slipped under the gate and snarled/chased/snapped at her while his owner stood there smiling saying it was fine. The last time, there were only 2 other dogs there and one would knock my dog over and not let her stand up, teeth around my dog's neck, and the owner had his back turned and talked on his cell phone.

    Water

The Water is turned on and someone left 2 kiddie pools for the fools to frolic in.Needs a new layer of grass seed and some hay/straw.Nice park! Plus the OGS drivers have fun with dogs who chase them along the fence line!

    Address

The address for this park is actually:

    44 Richard J Conners Blvd,
    Albany, NY

If you pull up google maps, you can easily spot the white gazebo that's located in the park!

    Nice Place

This is a nice dog park, it is not in the best location but it offers a huge fenced in area for the dogs to explore and it is pretty clean! The people I have met there are all really nice. Sometimes you will get a dog that is aggressive occasionally but for the most part its great! We try and bring our dog every weekend. There are also places to sit, like a gazebo and picnic tables. They do have water there but it has not been turned on yet! I hear that they should turn it on soon!
