Easy to get to. Nice walking path along the river just outside the fenced dog park. Expect to bag and carry poop out of park, as there are no trash cans.
- ChrisJul 31, 2021Not bad at all.
Brought or 7 month old boxer here today, we just adopted him and were not sure how he would be with other dogs, he had a blast made some new friends and wore himself out now he's asleep on the couch lol.....
It was not too busy maybe 8 other dogs total between both areas and the other owners were attentive to their dogs....
Met some good people there today and will be going back. - BrookeJan 27, 2020No trash, closed for winter
We were very disappointed! We came with our dogs from out of town.. thinking of moving to the area and there's no trash cans for poop and it's closed until spring!

This park does the job when you need a spot for Spot to run around, but it has some flaws that are hard to overlook. The parking lot is challenging to traverse, there is a lot of dust, no running water so unless you bring your own water your dogs can get pretty thirsty. The area is also a little sketchy with people parking in the lot and never coming in, or stopping at the port a potty and leaving. Overall it's a fine place if you have company but I wouldn't be comfortable alone.
- ShelbyJul 5, 2018My girls love this park!
We go every day! The dogs love to run around in the grass and have a grand old time! There are brand new trash cans! We like all the trees and greenery better than parks that are just dirt!

Have been here twice with our puppy. Although it is fenced in and has nice sitting benches. It is very dusty. The trash on both visit
s was over flowing. I had an issue today where one female dog owner unleashed her two male dog a and they humped every female dog. This dog owner kept her head in the book she was reading ignoring the behavior of her dogs. If you can not respect others dogs and can not control bad behavior of your dog's, you should not be at a dog park... As dog owners, you are responsible for damages to other dogs and anyone using the park, so keep this is mind. For the State Capital, I would expect a better park with running water, pea gravel and exercise equipment for the dogs. Not the best... - MaureenMore than a year agoVery enjoyable
We took our elderly beagle to the park just to have some off leash time. We had never been. I have to say this was a very nice. We felt it was a safe place where we could let him be off his leash and smell everything until his heart was content. We liked the separate areas for large/small dogs. We will definitely be taking him back there!

There is some riff raff owners that come in once and a while but for the most part. I have a Siberian Husky that loves it here. There is a small path to leash walk as well as the park. Also if you're more the adventurous type, there are some small paths that lead to the river for when your puppy overheats in the summer. The walk way and the river are not in the enclosed area however so a leash is required for that.

This park actually isn't that bad. I had a pleasant experience there and am hoping to bring my two dogs back this summer. As said in the description, the park is divided in half. One side is for big dogs and the other side is for smaller ones. The small-dog side is smaller though. People sometimes leave leftover toys for owners who can't afford them and buckets hang off of the fences for owners who can't afford bowls. There are even kitty-pools for hot days. There is a trashcan and benches, but you have to pick up your dog's feces. Remember people. you're going to a dog park, not a fiesta. You might encounter some really hyper dogs. So if you don't want your petite dog to get run over and drooled on then maybe you shouldn't bring them there. Dogs love it though! ;)

Nice fenced in areas for off-leash fun with separated areas for big dogs and little dogs. Would be nice if there was also a puppy area since dogs under 4mths. aren't supposed to go into the small dog area. You're not supposed to bring in small children either but since I had my two girls with me, I put my youngest in her stroller. There was nobody else there with small dogs when we went. There is an open leashed area with a short trail along the river. Sadly, even with all of the signs there were still people who hadn't picked up after their dogs but for the most part it was clean and nice. They were mowing the lawn while we were there. There are even two kiddie pools in the off-leash areas.
