American Basin Trail

The American Basin Trail is a pet-friendly hike in the San Juan Mountains of Lake City, CO. Since the trail is owned by the Bureau of Land Management, dogs are allowed off-leash on this scenic trail, which is accessible July through October. Enjoy mountain views and wildflower meadows while you get some exercise with your pup.
