Castlewood Canyon State Park

Castlewood Canyon State Park in Franktown, CO, is dog friendly. Several hikes range from mild to moderate here, but the 5.6-mile trail to the canyon is the most popular. And though Castlewood Canyon is less grand than the Grand Canyon, it is worth the 5-hour round-trip hike. Please note Fido is not allowed on the East Canyon Preservation Area trail. Visit Website

    Nice park with trail options

Nice state park. $10 for a day pass per car but you have until noon the next day to use at any of the state parks. Trail options so there are some paved and then some more adventurous ones. There is also a east and west side if you don't want to do the entire loop. Each side gives a different view. Nice, clean bathrooms as well. Dogs leashed
