Castlewood Canyon State Park

Castlewood Canyon State Park is a dog-friendly recreation area in Franktown, CO. There are several hikes ranging from mild to moderate here, but the 5.6 mile trail to the canyon is the most popular. And though Castlewood Canyon isn't as grand as the Grand Canyon, it is certainly worth the 5-hour round-trip hike. The winding Cherry Creek flowing along the canyon floor also provides wonderful rest stops along the way. Leashed pets are welcome on most trails, except the new East Canyon Preservation Area trail. a lot of trails and they even give you a milk bone upon entry!

Nice park with trail options
Nice state park. $10 for a day pass per car but you have until noon the next day to use at any of the state parks. Trail options so there are some paved and then some more adventurous ones. There is also a east and west side if you don't want to do the entire loop. Each side gives a different view. Nice, clean bathrooms as well. Dogs leashed
