Mitchell and Blue Lakes Trail in Ward, CO, is a 5-mile, pet-friendly hike in Roosevelt National Forest that will take about 4 to 5 hours to complete with Fido. This area offers a variety of trails with beautiful scenery and many lakes. You will also find camping facilities and picnic areas complete with drinking water and toilets. The area can be crowded on summer weekends. During the high season you will need to pay a nominal use fee.
