Grays Peak Trail

Grays Peak Trail is a moderately easy, 6.4-mile, out-and-back hike in Fawnskin, CA. This dog-friendly trail is located within the San Bernardino National Forest and will take about 3.5 hours to complete with Fido. This trail is on the north side of the lake and will actually lead you to the backside of the mountain where water views disappear. However, losing the view of the water is worth the peace, quiet, and open vistas that take its place. This area is subject to closure due to habitat protection. Since this trailhead is within the bald eagle habitat, it's closed during the nesting season from winter to spring, sometimes extending into summer. Visit Website
