Diamond Lake and Cliff Lake Trail is a pet-friendly, 3-mile hike in Lolo National Forest in Superior, MT, that will take about 2 hours to complete with Fido. Although the Bitterroot Divide between Idaho and Montana has many lakes, the most accessible are Diamond and Cliff. Despite the accessibility the lakes never see any huge crowds.
