Lake Emerald is the center lake in a line of three different lakes. There are actually two different trail head that will take you to the lake. The first trail head starts at Trout Lake and will take you up and over a steep ridge. Emeral lake sits in between Trout and Lily Lake and you will have to hike some switch backs to actually get down to Emerald lake. You can also choose the trail head that start off a forest service road and takes you directly to Lily Lake with the option to continue through to Emerald Lake. Either way is a beautiful hike. Dont forget to pake lots of water for your dog :)
