The Marie Creek Trail in Coeur d'Alene, ID has muddy spots and creek crossings so waterproof boots are recommended. This trail is shared with equestrian users, so dogs must be leashed the entire time. Below are some links for more information. There are a few spots to camp, but try to talk to a local contact for the dates you want to go, because the spots might be taken (and there are no facilities such as restrooms). However, it is a lovely hike with forests and meadows! (https://naughtyhiker.wordpress.com/2016/11/21/marie-creek-loop/ & https://www.inlandnwroutes.com/marie-creek.html)
