Blue Mountain Reservation is a 1,500-acre park in the northwest section of Westchester County in Peekskill, NY. This recreation area offers more than 20 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. One of their easy, dog-friendly paths will lead you to two ponds and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. Due to the heavy population of mountain bikers, Fido must be leashed. Fun Trails!
Our first visit so we didn’t get too far. Rocky wooded trails that are fun to explore. Had our one pup off-leash for a bit, but have to be on the lookout for cyclists 🚴‍♀️

Beautiful!
Came here with my husband and bulldog of 18mos. The trails were well marked, beautiful and quiet. Dogs are technically supposed to be on leashes but we did some free walking when no one else was visible on the trail and that was fine. Lots of trails to explore and you can choose from several trail lengths and difficulty. Will definitely be back!

Lots of trails to choose from
We come here often. During the week there is less bikers. My pup doesnt care about bikes, we actually ride bike here with our pup running along us. Most dogs here I see are off leash. There is a horse stable by the other side of the park so you can meet with horseback riders. Lots of trails to choose from. You can let your pup swim in the lake or the streams. Water is usually pretty clean.
