      Great walk in the woods

      We had a great walk today. the trails were a little confusing, but NYNJTC.ORG has a great descriptive guide. The total walk was 3 miles and there were falls for our dog to cool off in. The views of the Hudson were excellent as you walk along the ridge.

      This is a pretty forest, but we never did figure out how to get to the river, and we even tried going on to a road that said no through traffic. Each marked trail would abruptly end at a very deep gorge, and we would try another only to end up in the same place. Maybe it needs better guidance for the public. At 10am on a beautiful Sunday morning, my mate and I were the only ones there. Dogs liked it though.
