    Great Hike and Lunch after!

We went with our on-leash dog and loved this hike. It provides a bit of elevation, beautiful scenery, road trail, gravel trails, narrow trails, mossy rocks and lakes. Maybe it was the cold weather or the sun on us but it was a perfect hike. We then proceeded to have lunch at a local nearby gem (about 5 min drive) called The Market at Union Hall. All in all highly recommend!

    Great place for a walk

There is no state wide leash law in NYS

    . Pooch had fun!

Quite a few different walks so you can vary the overall length. Useful map from the park office ( and nice clean toilets). Routes are well marked and give a nice walk. A bit boggy on one stretch around Hemlock Lake - lots of little leaping frogs which pooch liked - need boots not trainers for that bit.

    LEASH LAW

While Mt Lakes IS NOT a dog park we do welcome all walks and I would just like to remind your readers that there is a leash law in New York state. Thank you and enjoy the park.
