Graveyard Fields Trail

Graveyard Fields Trail is a moderately easy, 3.4 mile hike in the Pisgah National Forest that will take about 2 hours to complete with Fido. This trail was named for the devastating fires in 1925 and 1942, but still offers plenty of beauty. The well-marked trails will bring you by two waterfalls, a river, blueberry bushes, and still offers cool temperatures in the summer. Please note that dogs must be on a 6-foot leash on National Park Service property. Visit Website

Nice Hike but more strenuous than advertised

A very nice and pretty hike. The hike to the two waterfalls is easy (as advertised), but the hike to Graveyeard Fields (the name of the hike so the one we attempted) is moderate. Be aware and enjoy. Also, the drive to the trailhead is spectacular since it is along the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway which is worth the trip in itself.
