Woodland Nature Trail is an easy, seasonal, dog-friendly 0.75-mile hike in the Sandling Beach area of Falls Lake State Recreation Area. Make sure to pack some food to enjoy before or after your hike at Picnic Area 1, located right by the trailhead. This trail is bike free and offers beautiful color with blooming flowers in the spring and changing leaves in the fall. Sandling Beach is closed November 1 through March 15. Please note that dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
