The Dread and Terror Segment (Miles 54-63) of the North Umpqua Trail is a pet-friendly path in La Pine, OR. It's a moderately easy, 8.1-mile hike that will take about 4 hours to complete with Fido. Start out at the Thorn Prairie trailhead and descend into the forest where you will meet up with the main North Umpqua Trail. Water is abundant on this trail that follows the river and passes by several springs. Please note that a Northwest Forest Pass is required.
