Hot Springs Segment (Miles 47-54)
The Hot Springs Segment (Miles 47-54) of North Umpqua Trail is a pet-friendly path in Idleyld Park, OR. It's a moderately easy, 6.2-mile hike that will take about 4 hours to complete with Fido. This section of the North Umpqua Trail enters into Douglas fir and cedar forest. As the forest thins out more sunlight comes in, which helps to minimize the nasty thorny growth of the ceanothus. Please note that a Northwest Forest Pass is required.
