The Maidu Lake Segment (Miles 69-79) of the North Umpqua Trail is pet friendly in Idleyld Park,OR. It's a moderately easy, 18 mile hike that will take about 9 hours to complete with Fido. There is a perfect little river for Fido to take a dip without having to fight a strong current. You both will delight in the tasty berries from the huckleberry bushes along the trail. Please note that a Northwest Forest Pass is required, and dogs must be leashed.
