The dog-friendly Dimple Dell Regional Park is a 630-acre recreation space running through Sandy, UT. Sandy Dog Park And Dimple Dell Trail

Great small off leash dog park co-located with Dimple Dell Trail entrance. Trail was awesome. We arrived around 9 am in Friday morning and not many people were out. Great creek for Fido to take a dip in to cool off after the sunny parts of the trail. Trail is super wide and well kept. Loved it!

Keep your dog on a leash

This is a designated Wildlife Preserve and Equestrian park. We love to share the trails with all four legged friends as long as they are on a leash. The main reason is so that the wildlife isn't harassed. This place isn't like the mountains where they have plenty of space to take up residence anywhere. They frequently live right next to the trail because of limited space. The second reason for a leash is for the safety of your dog and horseback riders. If your dog runs up to a horse barking they are likely to get kicked to Timbuktu or the horse will panic and throw their rider. Don't ruin it for everyone else by insisting the rules are not for you!

    It's Ok

My four-legged dog doesn't get much exercise when she is tied to her two-legged human. This trail is wide enough to been an off leash trail, I don't know why it isn't. Because of that we won't be back, but it's an ok walk for dogs who need to be on a leash.

Nice, but too many off-leash dogs

This is an amazing park. It's too bad that we ran into a group of people with 3 big dogs off-leash (who ignored us when we said something). then another couple with a huge dog off-leash. I guess there's a lot of royalty in Sandy who are exempt from the pesky leash laws. Having had my own dog almost killed by "nice" off-leash dogs, I don't think it's okay. It's a shame that jerks have to ruin good things.

    GREAT spot!

Dimple Dell is a great place to walk, ride or work out. The trails are wide and well maintained and there are so many choices my walks never get boring. The soft surface makes it enjoyable and not painful to walk long distances. If I had a dog I'd walk him here every day!
