The dog park is a medium-sized fenced area with mostly dirt. I have only brought my dog twice since she gets so dirty. The people and most of the dogs are very friendly. This dog park would be better if it had grass.

Excited to visit this bark park. We just moved here, looks decent. Posting cause wanted comment on other posts…
I agree, don’t bring toys ur dog is attached to. It could cause an unnecessary fight resulting in a human being bitten and risk of someone’s fur baby being euthanized. Not worth it, just leave toys at home.
However, I also agree with bringing ur own fetch balls. Bark parks are giant bacteria and parasite bowls. Giardia is common in bark parks which is why humans should also bring their own water and bowls. Giardia is easily transmitted through communal water bowls and tennis balls. - BrandonJun 8, 2020Great Small-Medium park

Brought our dog here, and had one of the best off leash dog park experiences I've had at the dog parks in Kitsap County.
Went with a friend, and so many people I have never met before were friendly and interactive, and they were totally fine with sharing toys when my dog stole their dog's things.
Owners were aware of their dogs' aggressivity levels, and overall it was simply a fun experience. I even took our toddler, and my only worry about was that they would eat poop off the ground, because all the animals were friendly to her, or just simply stayed away if they were not. There was also a great puppy area, which I noticed some owners use as a means of calming their pets before and after playing in the large dog park.

I have been here at least once a week since it opened. It is great to have an off leash area for the dogs in the center of town. There is rarely any trouble, it is easy to strike up a conversation with the "regulars," or just keep to yourself if that's what you like. I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about...wasps?...can't bring your own ball?...just not true!
There is a separate area for little dogs so they can feel safe. Poo bags and waste bins are provided. It does get muddy or dusty because the dogs have worn out the grass. Why not chip in some money for a better surface such as dog friendly fake turf? It is called K9 Grass. - BekkMore than a year agolittle dust bowl
Very small and about 2/3 dust bowl and 1/3 grass. The entire south part of the park was a giant underground wasp nest, yikes! There is water available though.

Park was small but clean, plenty of room to run around. I went to play ball with my dog since that is his favorite thing to do and it wears out a lot of his wiggles. We were reprimanded TWICE for bringing our own ball. We were playing away from the other dogs and the dogs were getting along but the other dog owners were upset with me when I interrupted their talk time to get help with getting our ball back from their dog. I wasn't upset at all that it was 'stolen.' Very clique-ish group with very large dogs, not all paying attention to what their dogs were doing...

The Silverdale Dog Park is a great park that just opened this year 2010. It is conveniently located in the heart of Silverdale near all shopping centers. If you must run errands and don't want to leave spot at home bring him along and hit the park and the post office and grab a few things for the house for the day. A wonderful park and a great location!
