Reviews
Visitors generally find PETA's Dog Park to be a well-maintained facility with access to water and separate areas for small and large dogs, though some note issues with limited grass, restrictive rules, and overcrowding. They report the park is nicely set up with amenities like a ramp, benches, and a kiddie pool, though some express disappointment about water access being unavailable at times.

Considering that Bea Arthur's name is being used for this dog park, one would think that PeTA would make sure it's kept up better than we experienced today. Very little grass, and in the small dog section, water supply was dismal and it looked like it was not working. The coniferous trees need to be cut back (they look ragged), and a few deciduous trees would make it look much better. Last time we were there, the large dog section was closed off- supposedly for reseeding, but today it was a matted, flat piece of land- and that was on both sides! I took pictures of both large and small dog sides- who is maintaining this park??

I get that it’s PETA but telling owners that crating your dog, using tools that assist you and your dog, signs all over the place is annoying. (Like I understand to some extent but we use collars that assist in our dogs behavior and have been used for training purposes, telling us you’ll use them on the owners if seen using them is ridiculous.) They do have water accessible and poop stations though. Grass is more like only dirt. Definitely won’t be returning ever.

always friendly dogs and a well maintained park!
- SabrinaFeb 4, 2022Beautiful park.
Sadly, the ONE reason we came was water access...that is no longer accessible. Won't be back

Unfortunate that this park was occupied by a pack of horny hounds. My dogs we constantly bothered by them whilst the owners looked on. The area was restricted to less than half an acre. They were working on the rest. It could be a great resource when open so check before going. Disappointing as we made a special effort to get there.

Thank you PETA for opening the larger park back up! There have been lots of dogs able to run around and have fun here again 😊

The large park was closed for maintenance when we were there, but looked like it would be a ball. Ramp for doggies to get in and out of the water, plenty of dog bags and places to dispose of them.
Our 90lb. 10 yr old retriever mix had a great time as the only visitor in the small park though. Kiddie pool and fresh water source there.

This is a nice facility but it is PETA run and next door to PETA. There are also PETA promotions there. If you have an an issue with their pet euthanasia propensity be aware that you may be solicited for donations while there.

Interesting park with sea walls and fences. You could not keep your dog our if he likes the water! Gorgeous harbor view, covered area with picnic tables, deck with ramp right down to harbor. Ghent neighborhood is full of upscale, dog friendly restaurants and shops for strolling. All size dogs together. Baby pool. Small wooded area. Benches.

Big grassy area, access to the water, ramp to get out, small kiddie pool, this park has it all

It's obviously a well taken care of park, as it's done by PETA HQ. Great size and two separate parks for small and big dogs. Water access if your dog likes to swim!
