    Great park

We are in town for just a week to do some fishing. We took our the dogs to the dog park this evening and they had a blast. The Girl Scouts did a great job sponsoring the park. It will be even better when the trees get bigger and can offer more shade. Always nice to discover a free dog park while traveling.

    What a gem!

A fantastic dog park! What a gift to the community. A few acres to roam with a nice gravel walking trail around the park. Also has a weather shed, a porta potty and water bubbler. One of the nicest parks we’ve been able to experience!

Awsome place to bring your dog

I love that I can bring dog Duke to this park to run and socialize with other dogs and a great way for him to run off his excess energy. Every time I go there the other dogs a so friendly and playful. But the one thing I wish they would have or considered is building a splash pad or a swimming pool or hole for the dogs so they could go and cool off.

    Dog Lover

We came to Cameron from Stevens Point about the time the park opened we have not missed many days at the park with our dogs. Its great for socialization for dogs and people.
Many Improvements have been made in that time more tables and benches and a great job of mowing, porta potty and a new gravel parking area And I here a shelter is in the plan before snow flies. Speaking of snow it would be great if some one who knows someone from a snow mobile club see if we could make arrangements with them to have a groomer come in and make some nice trails around the park. That was how it was done at the Portage county dog Park. The park will be as good as those that use it read the signs and instructions and then follow them. The park is on a land fill that was closed in 1976 and is inspected by the D&R as far as vents and ground water testing wells. I say this because I notice a few cannot read pick up after your dogs thats not going to go over well with the Rice Lake Park System or the D&R. We had a great meeting on July 18 th with good participation. I would like to thank all who have helped make this a great park by helping out and following park instructions.
    Thanks Bill

    Pet Owner

I would like to thank the Girl Scouts and all the city employee's who help keep the park looking nice & supply poop bags. They say its great for socializig your dogs I think its great for the people who visit also. The dogs get along so well and get the exersize theall need. Big ones and tiny ones get along great. The tables are placed where you keep an eye on your dogs at all times. The park is user friendly, thier could be more effort by a feww dog ownwrs at picking up the waste. People find out pretty quick that is not the place to come and eat & it causes problems with other dogs.I know it would be good to have a few more tables and a trail groomer for winter monthes. I will bring sugestions to the dog park meeting on July 18th keep up the good work. Like they say no such thing as a bad dog just under exersized dogs.

    My dog's favorite place

The dog park is definitely serving a need in Rice Lake - I am very appreciative of it's presence and know lots of others who are as well. The main addition that would be helpful would be a water source on site.
