- ElizabethOct 19, 2024Fun stop off the highway; super dog friendly!
My dog and I stopped by on our way north and it was such a fun little spot. SUPER dog friendly; dogs are allowed everywhere except for the canopy trail (which my dog probably wouldn't enjoy anyway). Staff was super friendly to her! We walked around, went into the store and museum, and even did the sky gondola. My dog is lazy so I think more active dogs would enjoy it even more, but she loved all the attention and it was a great break for the both of us :)
- MJul 24, 2024Super fun and super dog friendly!
We were so pleasantly surprised at how dog-friendly this little touristy gem was, dogs are allowed on the trail/attraction, in the gift shop, and there are plenty of cleanup stations available. Only missing one star due to dogs not being allowed on the sky trail and gondolas, which is understandable but we still had to pay for those attractions in our tickets.

Like the other reviewers we agree this is one of the most dog friendly places. The trials are easy to navigate and the fur babies were very entertained. So nice to be able
To walk our dogs on a trial. - LynnJun 20, 2024Very Pet Friendly
Great place for kids and pups! A good time had by all.
- SarahMar 23, 2024So great!
Many Redwoods trails are not dog friendly so this place is awesome. The trails are well maintained, it’s accessible, and there’s plenty of dog relief stations. Dogs are allowed almost everywhere including the Sky Tram and the gift shop. Staff gave our boy Milk Bones and were very kind. A little expensive at 25 dollars an adult (when the trees are free elsewhere) but can’t complain! Also tons of amazing art work and statues!
- AndyOct 19, 2022Every dog must ride the SkyTrail!
Very very dog friendly! A great "walk" with a ride of a (dog's) lifetime on the SkyTrail. Stayed at Hotel Trees across the street (also VERY dog friendly). A rare forrest walk that welcomes dogs.
- AshleyApr 16, 2021Lots of fun!
Very dog and kid friendly. We had a lot of fun walking the trails and riding the gondola. The only thing dogs can’t do is the canopy walking tour. There were waste bags and trash cans in different areas.

Love that I was able to bring my dog Luna , to explore with the family . They had waste bags available and garbage cans just Incase your fur baby couldn’t hold it. She enjoyed walking and sniffing all around . Fun for the whole family!
- JenniferJun 29, 2020Super Dog Friendly.
they are super dog friendly here as long as you have your pup on a leash. they can also accompany you in the store.
- KevinApr 3, 2018Something fun to do with the dog!
It nice to find an attraction that you can take your furry child along with you.
The large Paul Bunyan statue interacts with the guests in the parking lot which is fun to watch.
The trees are incredible and our dog loved walking around and sniffing all the new smells.
The Tram ride was fun but our dog is not so crazy about the ride. She was a little nervous but survived the ride.
It is so nice to have something to do that you can take your dog along.

This is the most dog friendly site I've been too. Staff love seeing dogs and give out treats. They are allowed in the gift shop, museums, trails, and sky tram. They even stopped the tram so our dog could go in (as she was scared to go into the moving tram). They also provide dogs bags if you need it.

They were extremely dog friendly! The employees went out of their way to play or interact with our dogs. Highly recommend visiting!

I stopped here on my way up the coast toward Oregon. It's a total tourist hub, but so are most places along 101. They are SO dog friendly, even large dogs. They just ask you keep them on leash and pick up after them (this should be a given for all pet owners in public areas). I was able to take my dog with me on all trails (Sky tram included!), in the shop, and in the museum. The staff was very friendly and there was no extra charge for him to come with me. I went early when there wasn't a lot of people. Had a great time!

I was surprised they were so pet friendly. I had Monster all set up for another boring car stay when I saw the dog sign. I doubled checked and then grabbed Monster. He loved it! A nice path with many red woods and signs telling about them. The hike was not too bad for mommy, even with a dog pulling me towards every tree. The gondola was fun. I had to pick up Monster because he was scared of the doors. The staff was comforting about it and once inside, Monster calmed down. The view from the top was nice too. I was very impressed mainly because of how pet friendly they were. I was also given dog treats and bags. This is a great stop!

Thank you so much for putting your reviews here as it has helped us to decide to take our dog Izzy on the Tram with us

We spent most of an afternoon here. The place is beautiful with many varieties of trees with signs and speaking booths to talk a little about what you are seeing. It was wonderful to find a place that was dog friendly where we could wander and see some of the Redwoods. We took the tram ride, they provided instruction on the best way to approach with our dog. (wasn't overly impressed with the view, but it was still enjoyable, expected to be more in redwood trees). At the end you go through the gift shop, they have some good fudge (free samples) and nice post cards. They allowed the dog to be everywhere in the store, which was nice. I really enjoyed this place, and would recommend a visit if in the area. The price is now $15 (or was when we went in March).

Our puppy max could come with us on the walking trails, store/museum AND on the skytram (which max wasn't to excited about which is why we ran down the hill instead of taking it back down). Very accommodating and a must place stop to see the trees!

We took our golden retriever and Boston Terrier on the Sky Tram and we all enjoyed the view. We were happy that we didn't have to leave the dogs in the car, as it was warm that day. We appreciated them lending us a leash too, as we only had one. This attraction also has a nice trail with a forest experience theme, and the Native American Museum is known to be top notch. Across the street is a motel and cafe. I don't know if the motel allows pets.
