- ElizabethSep. 13, 2020Lovely Beach And Lots Of Dogs After Labor Day!
After Labor Day you will see a lot of dogs taking walks with their owners on the beach. I do think they have to be leashed, and most are except the occasional chihuahua. Make sure to clean up after your dog! I highly recommend but like most places you cannot bring your dog on the beach in summer months. Still a gorgeous town and there’s a couple pet friendly Inns as well.

Bay Head Beach is a great spot to take your dog(s). However, just like most all beaches along the Jersey Shore, dogs are not permitted during the summer months. I’m not sure of the exact dates, but usually between October and April, dogs are welcome on the beach. There are signs stating that dogs must remain leashed at all times, however, there are always numerous dogs running and playing off leash. I have never witnessed an issue with this in all my times going there. All-in-all, it’s a great spot to take your dog during the off-season months. Please be sure to clean up after yourself!!
- DianeJul. 30, 2018Bay Head Beach does not allow dogs
We visited Bay Head beach on Sunday and found out that they will not allow dogs. There is a sign posted saying “no dogs”. Even if I didn’t have a dog, I would not recommend the beach. The people I encountered were very rude. Not worth the $8 fee.
- TeresaMore than a year agoBay Head's Beach is Grrrreat!
This is a beautiful wide beach for your dog to run on. You will see other dogs/owners as well. The beaches are very clean so bring your own bags for "pick-up" and carry out to keep them in such pristine condition.
