Dog Friendly Beaches Near PVC Airport

Herring Cove has miles of dog-friendly beaches to offer along the Massachusetts Bay side of Provincetown. Bring Fido for a walk along the shore while you take in some sunshine and scenic coastal views. Pets must be cleaned up after and leashed at all times during their visit. Seasonal pet closures are in effect annually from April 1 through October 15 to protect nesting and staging shorebirds.

Dog Beach in Provincetown, MA, is a small, sandy recreation area where pups can enjoy the shoreline with their owners. From Memorial Day through November 1, dogs may be off-leash between 6 AM and 9 AM and 6 PM and 9 PM when under voice and sight control. From November 2 through the day before Memorial Day, dogs may be off-leash from 6 AM - 9 PM. A paid parking lot is located nearby.

Located at the beginning of Provincetown's West End, the pet-friendly Breakwater Walk provides hiking access to the very tip of Cape Cod, MA at Long Point Light House. Enjoy this great swimming location and area for gathering shellfish. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Located on the Atlantic Ocean side of Provincetown, MA, Race Point Beach is dog friendly during the off-season. Dogs must be leashed at all times and owners should double-check the National Park Service website to see if the area is open to dogs during nesting season.
