The Chapel, built by Vermont folk artist and children's book author Stephen Huneck, is visited by thousands annually to reflect and post message and photos of pets that have passed on. The Chapel walls are covered in layers of heartfelt notes. Dog Mountain hosts a number of annual events, including Memorial Day Celebration, August Dog Party, and October Dogfest.
