Ocean City Dog Playground Ocean City has one dog playground divided into two sections. There is a small dog area for dogs 28 pounds and under, and a large dog area for over 28 pounds. Applications and passes may be obtained between 8:30am-5pm from the Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department front desk, located at 200 125th, Ocean City, Md 21842, Monday – Friday with the exception of legal municipal holidays. Access cards will allow you to gain entry to the appropriate dog area during the scheduled hours of operation. Prices: Ocean City Resident Annual Pass - $50 ($5 for each additional dog) Non-Resident Annual Pass - $100 ($5 for each additional dog) Ocean City Resident Half Year Pass - $30.00 (After July 1st) Non-Resident Half Year Pass - $60.00 (after July 1st) Seven Day Access Pass - $15.00 After payment, purchasers are provided an access card that provides access to the playground. Ocean City Beach Ocean City Beach is pet-friendly. Dogs are only allowed on the beach and boardwalk between October 1 and April 30. Any handler or owner of a dog must remove any waste deposited on public or private property not owned by the handler or owner in possession of said dog. Viking Golf Small, leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners for a game of mini-golf at Viking Golf. While pets are not allowed at the go-kart track or the waterpark on the property, they are welcome on the 19-hole miniature golf course. The course is themed after a battle between Vikings and a two-headed dragon in mythological Scandinavia. Located around the little bays of Delaware, previously an area where Native Americans harvested seafood and hunted in local woodland, this park became state-owned in 1965 to protect the land and provide a recreation area for local people and visitors from all over. Pocomoke River State Park Dogs are welcome at Pocomoke River State Park. Located within 15,000-acres of woodland at Pocomoke State Forest, this is a great spot to take Fido to get away from it all. The forest is made up of loblolly pine and cypress swamps, spread out over two sections: Milburn Landing and Shad Landing. The river meanders through the middle of the trees between the two sections, giving wildlife lovers the pleasure of spotting river otters at work. You may also spot bald eagles soaring in the sky above the park. There are a number of multi-use trails, ideal for taking your pooch on a walk. Pets are allowed in day-use areas after Labor Day up until Memorial Day weekend, as long as they are on a leash and all mess is cleaned up after them.
