Alpine Pedal Path is a dog-friendly 3.2-mile (one-way) asphalt trail in Big Bear Lake, CA. This path is a great place for morning jogs, bike rides, and leisurely walks with Fido! It boasts fresh air and beautiful scenery along the way. The path has access points that lead to the lake and various beaches.

Calico Ghost Town is a dog-friendly, Old West attraction in Yermo, CA. While visiting this old mining town, visitors can walk through an actual mine, pan for gold, and see the Mystery Shack. Fun-filled for all ages, be it human or dogs. Fido is also welcome inside the saloon, gift shops, and can even take the train ride tour with you! Located within the town, Dorsey's Dog House shop has everything from accessories to healthy snacks and treats.

The dog-friendly Palm Springs Air Museum in Palm Springs, CA, is home to one of the world’s largest collections of flyable from aircraft WWII, and the Korea and Vietnam wars. All exhibits in the air-conditioned hangars are rope-free, allowing visitors to get an up-close look at these historical marvels. In addition to the aircraft, exhibits and activities allow visitors of all ages to gain a fresh perspective of World War II. Friendly, leashed dogs are allowed to tour the attractions.

Leashed dogs are welcome to join you while you visit the pet-friendly Moorten Botanical Garden in Palm Springs, CA. This historic botanical garden opened in 1938 and features several rare cacti. Visitors can also view crystals, colorful rocks, ancient fossils, pioneer and gold mining relics, and cacti of varying sizes from miniature to giant! Seven Magic Mountains is a dog-friendly art exhibit set in the desert of Las Vegas, NV. The artwork is comprised of seven, thirty to thirty-five-foot high, dayglow totems made of painted, locally sourced boulders. Dogs are welcome at Seven Magic Mountains as long as they are cleaned up after and leashed.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is less than a 30-minute drive from the strip in Las Vegas. Leashed pets are allowed on dog-friendly trails. Owners are required to clean up after their dogs. Baggies for waste disposal are available in the campground and at the Scenic Drive fee station. Fido must be leashed at all times in the campground areas, and at other developed facilities such as the visitor center, Willow Springs picnic area and Red Rock overlook. Due to the extreme temperatures in the Canyon, pet owners should never leave their pets unattended inside their vehicles, and you should bring plenty of water for your pet as well. There is a fee per vehicle to enter.

Barkin' Basin Dog Park at Wayne Bunker Park is a great spot for Fido to run and play off leash in Las Vegas, NV. There are three separate areas, benches, trees, drinking fountains and water spigots. Note that the park is closed on Mondays and Thursdays from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM for routine maintenance.

Cougar Crest Trailhead in Big Bear Lake, CA, offers moderate hiking. This dog-friendly trail is roughly 5 miles out and back. At the end, this trail meets up with the PCT at the base of Bertha Peak. The Dog Park features separate large and small dog areas, a perimeter walking path, patches of artificial turf, agility equipment, benches, native plants, and a bronze K-9 Monument honoring the Anaheim Police Department K-9 Officers. Olive Hills Dog Park is open daily from dawn to dusk.
