Point Sal State Beach Trail Point Sal State Beach Trail is a difficult, 10.3 mile hike that will take about 5 hours to complete with Fido. This trail is a haven for bikers, hikers, and dogs to enjoy the beach. This solitude is thanks to the fact that the road to the beach was closed off in 1993 and the beach was never popular due to the lack of facilities. Enjoy the beach wilderness, but be aware that the riptides and undertow in the surf can be deadly. Occasionally this area is closed off due to military activity. See Details

Solvang Trolley & Carriage Co. The Solvang Trolley, also known as The Honen ("The Hen" in Danish) offers a variety of horse-drawn carriage services appropriate for almost any occasion. Take a quaint, charming way to enjoy the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley that is relaxing. and romantic. Take a private horse-drawn wine-tasting tour in the charming Danish Capital of America. The Solvang Trolley, also known as the Honen, boards passengers regularly outside of the Visitor's Center on Copenhagen St. and Second St. and takes them on a 25 minute tour throughout the Downtown Area of Solvang. Passengers rediscover the architecture and attractions of the town on a replica of an 1800's Danish streetcar. Tour guides tell the history of Solvang, explain the origin and significance of many sights and buildings, and share with visitors folk tales and cultural notes from Denmark. They provide as well an insight on activities in town and give general information about the area. It is pulled by two powerful, and always friendly Belgian Draft horses. Both conveyances welcome most pets, but larger dogs will travel most comfortably on the trolley. See Details
La Purisma Mission State Park You and your pup can step back in time over 200 years by visiting La Purisima Mission State Park. Enjoy period demonstrations throughout the year as well as the 5-acre garden and nearly 25 acres of hiking trails. The surface of the trails varies from pavement, sand, and dirt. Keep your dog leashed during your visit and make sure to clean up after her. You will also want to protect Fido from ticks, which are sometimes present.
