Robinson Duck Farm Dog Run Area is located in Brookhaven, NY. The park covers 2.6 acres and is surrounded by a 4-ft fence of high wooden posts with turkey wire for your pup to run. As a "natural borders" dog park, the area will not have the usual amenities associated with more traditional fenced dog parks. Shrine of Our Lady of the Island
Leashed dogs are permitted on the pet-friendly grounds of Shrine of Our Lady of the Island in Manorville, NY. With the exception of Mondays, Mass commences every day at 11.30am and is held outdoors if the weather permits. You and Fido can enjoy picnic areas on the beautiful grounds which surround the shrine. There are also public restrooms, a reception area and snack bar (open seasonally) on site. The grounds at Shrine of Our Lady of the Island are open daily from dawn to dusk. Please clean up after your pets. Dogs are not allowed indoors or at the outdoor sanctuary area where the Rock of Our Lady is located.

Cathedral Pines County Park is a 320 acre site situated along the headwaters of the Carmans River. Facilities include campsites for individuals, youth group camping and club camping (10 or more units) and family camping, including 10 sites with water and electric hookups. Adjacent to Cathedral Pines Park is Prosser Pines Nature Preserve, which features a majestic stand of white pines planted in 1812. Prosser Pines is a popular site for hikers and photographers.

Cranberry Bog Nature Preserve
Cranberry Bog Nature Preserve is a 165-acre site set in the wetlands of Riverhead. The park is what remains of an abandoned cranberry-growing operation. Leashed dogs are welcome on the hiking trails where you will experience sights of the Little Peconic River, various plant life, birds species, reptiles and other local wildlife in all seasons. About 3/4 of the way around the trail, you'll come across what's left of an old pump house from when the Woodhull family farmed cranberries at the bog. The focal point of the 1.1 mile loop is the wooden bridge over the bog. Look for a sign that marks the entrance to the preserve. There's a small off-road parking area.

Situated conveniently near several access points to hiking trails in the Pine Barrens, this facility was established to provide the public with environmental interpretation of the Pine Barrens. Leashed dogs are welcome on the short, interpretive "Blueberry Loop" trail on the grounds of the center to give visitors a sampling of a Pine Barrens outdoor experience.
