Pine Mountain State Scenic Trail is also a link in the the Great Eastern Trail, also known as GET, stretching from Alabama to New York over 1,800 miles through nine states. Pet owners are reminded to keep their dogs on a leash under six feet and to preserve the cleanliness of the pathway by cleaning up any mess that their pooch makes along the way.

The Wilderness Road Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors.
