The park is designed to be a haven for nature lovers and dogs will definitely enjoy the walking trails on-site. Trails are red gravel. The Eagle Rock Reservation is over 400 acres along the Watchung Mountains ridge line located between West Orange, Montclair and Verona. The 40 mile Lenape Trail skirts the eastern edge of the park. The hiking trails and footpaths that crisscross the woodland areas of the park are friendly for hikers of all ages and abilities.
