Point Pleasant Park Point Pleasant Park is one of Halifax Regional Municipality's great civic spaces. It is the largest forested park on the Halifax peninsula and offers fine views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is also one of about 7 off leash parks for dogs in the HRM - and the oldest dog park in Halifax. There is an off leash part and a "no-dogs at all after 10am" part, so consult the well marked signage inside the park. See Details

Sherbrooke Village Dogs are welcome in the streets and in buildings in this historical re-enactment village. Sherbrooke Village depicts a typical Nova Scotian village from 1860 to pre-WW1. With approximately 80 buildings, over 25 of those open to the public, most with costumed interpreters, it is the largest Nova Scotia Museum site. Quinpool Road Quinpool Road is a popular shopping district in Halifax, Nova Scotia. They are home to just under 40 pet-friendly stores. Located on the western edge of the Halifax Commons, Quinpool Road is just down the road from Halifax Citadel National Historic Site and the Museum of Natural History. When shop owners started to realize how many of their customers had to leave dogs at home to come and check out the stores, they decided to start 'Paws Here'. This pet-friendly initiative invites pet owners to bring them into stores with them. Truro-Bible Hill Off-Leash Dog Park Bring Fido to run freely at the Truro-Bible Hill Off-Leash Dog Park. The Dog Park is more than a hectare of fenced-in property. It includes grassy play areas, trees, and water. Dog owners are asked to follow the rules posted at the Park. Children under twelve years of age are not permitted anytime. One of Canada’s most enchanting places, the world-famous Cabot Trail winds through this giant national park. The chilled beachfront village of Sunshine Beach provides respite from the hot sun and is perfect for a relaxing beach holiday.
