Quarry Park and Nature Preserve Quarry Park and Nature Preserve is pet-friendly. Home to 20 abandoned granite quarries, there's plenty of interesting things to see at this park. Dogs are welcome on the hiking trails that lead to granite reflecting pools, two swimming quarries, scientific and natural areas, fishing spots and lovely picnic areas. The sizeable hills you'll be traversing with your pooch are man-made from the quarry days. Explore scenic woodlands, open prairie, wetlands, and unquarried bedrock areas too. Dogs must be on a leash for the duration of their visit and all mess should be cleaned up after them. The park is open every day of the week from 8am to 8pm. See Details
