Popham Beach State Park Popham Beach State Park in Phippsburg, ME is dog-friendly from October 1st through March 31st. During this off-season period, leashed dogs can enjoy the luscious sandy beach that stretches along the mouth of the Kennebec River. There are also plenty of pretty picnic spots with charcoal grills, many of which overlook the water. Dogs are permitted in campgrounds, with the exception of Sebago Lake State Park Campground. Please leash and clean up after your pets when in the park. Please note that pet owners may be assigned picnic or campsites in a less congested area of the park. See Details

Reid State Park Reid State Park is a dog-friendly area in Georgetown, ME. This popular park has beautiful white sandy beaches, but Fido is only permitted on State Park beaches in Maine from October 1st to March 31st. When you visit Griffith Head in the park, you'll discover a rocky headland that overlooks the rest of the park and a number of seascapes. There are lighthouses in the area as well, including on Sequin Island and Hendricks Head.
