However, losing the view of the water is worth the peace, quiet, and open vistas that take its place. This area is subject to closure due to habitat protection. Lake Gregory Regional Park Lake Gregory Regional Park is a dog-friendly recreational area located in the San Bernardino Mountains of Crestline, CA. In the summer, you can rent paddleboards, rowboats, paddleboats, sailboats, and water cycles. Outside of the swimming area, anglers will find excellent fishing for trout, catfish and bass. The real fun is the 2.7-mile fitness trail featuring exercise stations along the scenic path around the lake. There's no need for a permit when hiking this peak, the highest outside of the National Forest. The trail will take you on a very rocky path through the alpine forest. Be sure to bring plenty of water and check Fido's paws frequently. This area is subject to seasonal closure due to weather conditions.
