Pet Friendly Capen Park
Capen Park Go to intersection of Stadium Blvd and College on N. Side of Stadium and Rock Quarry Rd on South side of S. side of Stadium. Go South on Rock Quarry Rd and take first Left onto Capen Park Drive to lot at end. I took my dog walking on the trails, met a lot of runners, bike riders and dog walkers. Feels remote, high rock climbing cliffs, woods, field and creeks with 3-6 miles of trails connecting to old MO, R.R. trail system. The Grindstone-Capen Park area is located about a quarter of a mile south of the Stadium Blvd. - Old Hwy 63 intersection in southeast Columbia. You can access the trails from the Grindstone (east) side on Old 63, or from the Capen Park (west) side on Rock Quarry Road. The singletrack here connects to the Hinkson rail-trail which runs through Grindstone and a few miles west to the MKT rail-trail which then goes southwest to the Katy Trail. See Details

Finger Lakes State Park Leashed pets are allowed in the park but they are not allowed in any buildings, or public swimming areas and beaches. The roar of ATVs and off-road motorcycles combines with the peacefulness of rolling hills at Finger Lakes State Park, one of two ATV parks in the state parks system. Built in a former coal mining area, Finger Lakes’ trails and motocross track are popular with users who come for the day, but often fall under the spell of the spacious campground, leafy trees and hilly terrain. The park is also the site of the challenging 2.75-mile Kelley Branch Mountain Bike Trail and a 4.5-mile water trail. See Details
Rock Bridge Memorial Leashed dogs are welcome. Dogs are not allowed in the park or historic buildings or public swimming areas and beaches. Rock Bridge Memorial State Park gives visitors the chance to scramble, hike and bicycle through a scenic environment – and lets them peek into Missouri’s underworld. The park contains some of the most popular hiking trails in the state and also offers solitude while hiking in the Gans Creek Wild Area. Visitors can also see a large cave system with its rock bridge, sinkholes, a spring and underground stream at the Devil's Icebox. You can explore Connor's Cave in the light of the opening for a taste of the underground world. See Details
