Waterdog Lakes Trail Leashed dogs can join you on Waterdog Lakes Trail, a pet-friendly, 3.6-mile hike through the San Isabel National Forest in Salida, CO. This is a quick and easy hike for those who are regular hikers. The trail runs alongside a stream and upward through an evergreen forest. You will reach the lakes at the timberline where Fido can take the opportunity to cool down with a splash in the water. Please note that the parking area is a dirt pull-off on the left side of the highway, and use caution crossing to the trailhead on the other side of the road. See Details
