Oyster Point Marina/Park
Oyster Point Marina/Park is a dog-friendly public marina and 33-acre park in South San Francisco, CA. Leashed dogs are welcome to explore the recreational facility, which features a 408-berth marina, hiking and jogging trails, a 300-foot fishing pier, picnic facilities, and a 2.5-acre sandy beach. Dog owners must clean up after their pet during their visit to Oyster Point.

Cascade Canyon Preserve
Bring Fido for a visit to pet-friendly Cascade Canyon Preserve in Fairfax, CA, located on over 504 acres in the Madera Creek watershed. Take your four-legged friends for some exercise on the cool shaded trails through evergreen forests, and enjoy a hike up to the beautiful Cascade Falls. Leashed dogs are welcome on signed fire roads and trails. A maximum of three pups are allowed per person and leashes must not exceed six feet in length.

Mount Tamalpais State Park
Pet-friendly Mount Tamalpais State Park in Mill Valley, CA welcomes leashed dogs on paved roads, parking lots, campsites and picnic areas. Dogs are only allowed in these areas. The State Park consists of deep canyons, sweeping hillsides, cool redwood forests, oak woodlands, and open grasslands. At night, Fido must sleep in a tent or vehicle. There is no main entrance fee; however certain trailheads have cash only parking fees.

The paved trail features pet waste stations, overlooks, benches, observation scopes, interpretive signs, bike racks, drinking fountains, and restrooms. Dogs must be cleaned up after and leashed for the entirety of their hike. Parking is limited on the weekends.

Golden Gate National Recreation Area is a dog-friendly national park in Mill Valley, CA. The park consists of over 81,000 acres filled with a variety of flora and fauna. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you on trails in Marin County, San Francisco County, and San Mateo County. Some of the trails allow dogs that are under voice control. Please note that dogs are not allowed in public buildings, Muir Woods, Alcatraz Island, shuttle buses, public fishing piers, and campgrounds.

Joaquin Miller Park Trail is a pet-friendly path located inside Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland, CA. Fido is welcome to join you as you meander through the trails of redwoods and oaks, but dogs must remain on a leash. The park is home to an abundance of wildlife such as scrub jays, Cooper's hawks, wild turkeys, California quail, gopher snakes, gray fox and deer. Joaquin Miller Park also has an off-leash dog park.

Lafayette Reservoir Recreation is a popular day-use area which is open throughout the year. A minimal fee is required for entry, and annual passes can be purchased for frequent visitors.

Hayward Regional Shoreline
Hayward Regional Shoreline in Hayward, CA is dog friendly and allows leashed pets in designated areas. This spacious wetlands park boasts gravel shoreline trails and is a popular spot for birdwatching and jogging. Visitors who bring Fido should watch for signs with park rules pertaining to pets. In order to protect wildlife, dogs are not allowed south of the West Winton Avenue flood control channel. Fido is also not permitted inside the Interpretive Center.
