You’ll find heartwarming activities and a tail-wagging good time with your sweet pup at these pet-friendly events happening in February! Whether it’s a Valentine’s Day festival, a Mardi Paws celebration, or a gathering of Goldens, there are plenty of opportunities to share in the puppy love this month.

Spayghetti & No Balls Festival
Have a blast with your furry friend and support a local animal rescue center at Spayghetti & No Balls Festival! Shop from a variety of local vendors while you listen to live music. Then, grab a drink from the beer and wine tent to enjoy while you watch a performance by The Canine Stars, a stunt dog group previously seen on America’s Got Talent! There will also be activities for kids and pups. Proceeds will go towards the spay and neuter fund at H.A.L.O. No-Kill Rescue.
This pup-centric festival will be held at the Old School Grounds in Fellsmere on February 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Make a vacation out of it and stay by the water at Best Western Sebastian Hotel and Suites in nearby Sebastian.
Cupid Festival
Celebrate the season of puppy love with your furry Valentine at Cupid Festival in Northern Virginia. Dog owners and attendees 21 and up can enjoy sampling beers from over 40 breweries. Pup cups and peanut butter-filled Kong treats will be provided for Fido to snack on while you mingle. You can also stop by the photo booth and snap a few pictures with your pooch to remember your “pawfect” day. Before you leave, let your best friend burn off some steam in the fenced dog park area.
Cupid Festival will take place on February 17 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Shipgarten in McLean. Spend the night close by at Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, where your pup will be spoiled with a treat and his own bowl in your room.
Mardi Paws
Bring your party animal out for Mardi Paws! Enjoy New Orleans-themed food and drinks, as well as Mardi Gras games, raffles and prizes. Make a stop at the photo booth to capture pictures with your pooch and go home with sweet memories and a goody bag. You can have fun and while fundraising at this event as all proceeds will go towards helping rebuild the Wicker Park Dog Park. All pups in attendance must be up to date on their vaccinations.
Mardi Paws will be held on February 3 from noon to 3 p.m. at Canine Crews in Chicago. After the “pawty”, walk across the street to Humboldt Park and enjoy a stroll along paved walkways and boardwalks through nature areas. Then, call it a night at Ray's Bucktown Bed and Breakfast nearby.
Bark at SPARK “Puppy Love”
Get ready for the day of love with your leashed pup at Bark at SPARK “Puppy Love,” a dog-centric Valentine’s Day celebration at SPARK Social SF. Head down to this neighborhood beer garden and enjoy a craft brew while you browse pet-related vendors. When you start getting hungry you can grab a bite to eat from a local food truck. There will also be an opportunity to create your own Valentine’s Day card and get a smooch from an adoptable pup at the K9 Kissing Booth. Bark at SPARK “Puppy Love” will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on February 11. Once you and your pup are tuckered out, head to the heart of downtown and spend the night at the Omni San Francisco Hotel. Start the next day with a relaxing stroll through the nearby pet-friendly Huntington Park.
Goldens in Golden
Paint the town gold at Goldens in Golden, a breed-specific meetup! Golden Retrievers are invited to Parfet Park in Golden for a day of mingling with other canines and their owners. There will be free pup cups for your furry friend to enjoy, as well as giveaways, vendors, and plenty of “pawsome” photo opportunities.
Goldens in Golden is taking place on February 3 starting at 11 a.m. Keep with the theme of the day by spending the night across the street from the park at The Golden Hotel. Enjoy walking along Clear Creek Trail and taking in the beautiful views of the Rocky Mountain foothills right outside of the hotel.
Dog Days of Glendale
Furry Phoenix residents won’t want to miss the Dog Days of Glendale festival at Glendale Landmark School. Browse over 50 pet-related vendors with your pooch and enjoy meeting other dogs, dog owners, and dog lovers in the area! Watch thrilling K9 demonstrations with your pup and enter to win one of the “Rover’s Raffle” prizes. If you’ve been looking to add a four-legged member to your family, there will be many adoptable pets to meet from a local rescue.
Dog Days of Glendale will be held on February 24 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stay close by at Home2 Suites by Hilton Glendale Westgate and enjoy a waterfront walk along New River. If you’re feeling hungry, grab a bite to eat down the street at Twin Peaks, a pet-friendly American restaurant with a lodge-themed front porch where Fido can join you.
