Description
Join park rangers from Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park for a dog-friendly walk-and-talk along Richmond’s Bay Trail. Bring your furry friend on leash, and learn more about how American family dogs contributed to the defense effort during WWII.
The two-mile walk will last approximately 1.5 hours. We will begin near the Sit and Stay Cafe at Point Isabel Regional Shoreline and end at the Rosie the Riveter Memorial in Marina Bay Park.
Note: Rain cancels. Your dog must be on a leash and must be able to get along with other dogs in a "pack" atmosphere. Aggressive dogs will be asked to leave the event.
Space is limited to 30, please sign up by emailing lucien_sonder@nps.gov. You will get an email back confirming your reservation. For directions to Point Isabel, please visit http://www.ebparks.org/parks/pt_isabel#reach
Working in collaboration with the “Healthy Parks Healthy People Bay Area” initiative, Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park is hosting this program to encourage park visitors to make healthy lifestyle choices while spending more time outdoors.
