FURever Fest at Cobb Animal Control

Check out Cobb Animal Control's Semi-Annual FURever Fest with Fido! This is a free fun family event that features vendors, silent auction items and special adoption rates. A variety of groups will be in attendance representing many aspects of responsible pet ownership as well as vendors selling interesting products to enhance the experience of adopting a pet. A K-9 officer will demonstrate the skills these dogs provide the police force. There is also a food drive for a local pet food pantry. Please consider bringing an unopened, unexpired pet food item. Fast and the Furriest 5k & Festival

*NO RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS Bring Fido to the 2nd annual Fast and the Furriest 5K! This event is for runners, walkers, and their dogs! The course is flat and fast and the race will utilize chip timing. There will be an aid & water station along the route for runners, walkers and their dogs. Included for each competitor is a custom race t-shirt (guaranteed if registered by May 27, 2017), a goody bag with treats for both owners and dogs, and post-race snacks. Register online; same-day registration will not be available. Festival open to the public!

Spooky Walk-N-Wag at Six Flags Over Georgia

Get your dog in the Halloween spirit! Six Flags Over Georgia will celebrate its Fright Fest by bringing back the annual Spooky Walk-N-Wag Dog Walk and Costume Parade! Owners should dress their dogs up in their favorite (or maybe their first-ever) Halloween costume and bring them to the park. Participation is open to the public. Each dog owner will have to sign a safety waiver during the registration process. A course will be set up in the park where the dogs can walk around for approximately one mile. There will have water stations and photo opportunities set up along the route to keep your furry friends happy! All dogs will then line up behind the scenes and begin a Dog Halloween Costume Parade. Each dog and their owner will walk across the stage in front a panel of judges and awards will be given to the "Top Dog" Halloween costumes. Each dog owner is asked to bring one five pound bag of dog food per dog that will be donated to an animal rescue.
