8th Annual South Carolina Week for the Animals

Animal World USA is pleased to announce that Governor Henry McMaster has officially proclaimed the 8th Annual South Carolina Week for the Animals August 11-19, 2018! Animal shelters, non-profit organizations, and humane groups across the state will be hosting scores of special animal-related special events. Community leaders, students, and caring citizens across South Carolina join in to celebrate the animals! Events will include adoption fairs, spay/neuter low cost events, R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, National Homeless Animals Day (which falls on August 18) special adoptions and spotlight on Equine Rescue of Aiken Saratoga Warhorse program for the soldiers through horse therapy, farm animals activities, SC Library Days, therapy dogs visiting children's hospitals, ways to help marine animals, horse adoptions, special shelter reduced adoption fees, therapy dogs visiting living-assisted homes. Also to be included are a salute to our working K9's, spotlight on search and rescue dogs, special adoption fees for cats, educational programs at nature centers and sanctuaries, and fun-filled festival days for families to come and enjoy food, music and the always amazing animals! Dog Day Afternoon

Celebrate the dog days of summer with man's best friend at the waterpark! Dogs must have all current vaccinations. The pools, shallow wading areas, and lazy rivers will only be open for dogs; humans should not enter past knee depth. Advance ticket purchase is recommended. • Different sessions will be offered.
