Dog Events in Cooleemee, NC

This 5K event supports drug and alcohol treatment, allowing participants to walk or run with a dog. The theme of this year's event celebrates movies and theater, reflecting Maddie's passion for films, theater, and acting. The event will feature an out-and-back course on the Muddy Creek Greenway, along with activities like a raffle, awards presentation, snacks and a silent auction.

This pet-friendly service celebrates animal companions with personal blessings from Pastor Jeff. Guests can meet adoptable dogs from Faith Hope & Love Rescue and bring their own pets for a blessing. Pets must remain leashed or secured in a carrier. Photos of animals unable to attend can also be brought for a blessing.

Guests and their pets are welcome to gather in the outdoor courtyard to receive a special blessing. All pets are welcome. Please ensure they're friendly and leashed/secured. Guests may also bring photos and or favorite toys for those pets who they've lost.

This annual Wiener Dog races invite pups of all ages to compete in divisions for puppies, juniors, adults, seniors, special-needs dogs and mixed breeds. Dogs race in heats on a 25- to 35-foot track, with winners advancing to semifinals and division champions receiving awards. Dogs must be at least 4 months old. Owners may use treats or favorite toys to encourage their dogs, but cannot touch them while they're racing.
