Celebrate Lancaster’s history with your leashed pup at this free downtown festival commemorating the city’s brief time as the nation’s capital in 1777. The event features local food, live music, vendors, family activities, historical programming, crafts, artisan demonstrations, and special cultural experiences.

A community 5K hosted by the Martinsburg High School Band Boosters that features a scenic course from Cobourn Field onto the Frog Hollow Trail, and back. The morning also includes a Kids Pup Run, and supports the school’s music program with a fun, family, and dog-focused theme.

This annual event features a dog fashion contest with the grand prize winner taking home a Maytag Pet Pro washer and dryer! Guests can also enjoy hot dogs, prizes and discounts while meeting adoptable dogs from Rescue Me WV.

The event offers a peaceful opportunity to honor loved ones, share memories, and connect with the community while supporting the care and mission of Hospice of the Sacred Heart.

This dog-friendly pet parade invites well-behaved pets of all kinds to strut their stuff on the red carpet for a chance to win awards including Celebrity Look-Alike, Best Visionary Hair-Do and Best Dressed Most Visionary Pet. Following the parade, pets can participate in a talent show and create artwork with their owners, including their own pet-inspired Walk of Fame star.

Pet owners and their furry companions are invited to showcase their creative costumes along North Beaver Street, between Philadelphia and Market Streets. As part of the annual Oktoberfest at The Wharf festival, the crowd favorite Wiener dog races will be hosted by Tommy McFly. Prizes are awarded to the speediest dogs. All breeds are welcome to watch, but only Dachshunds can participate in the race. There will also be an Adoptable Dog Parade between the Dachshund races.

Celebrate the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the environment. Pets and their people are invited to gather at the west front of the Cathedral for a special blessing.

Zoey's Fun Run is a community event to raise money for Zoey's Fund, a non-profit whose mission is to enhance and preserve the quality of life of animals by providing access to necessary medical care. This annual event will feature fun for the whole family, including a pet blessing, costume contest, vendors, silent auction, and more! Registration starts at 9:00 AM, the 5K run kicks off at 10:00 AM, and the one-mile walk begins at 10:05 AM. This event is hosted rain or shine, so participants should dress accordingly.

This fun fall festival will have food trucks, local vendors, raffles, live music, adoptable pets, costume contests for kids and pets, and more! Leashed, well-mannered pets are welcome. Be sure to bring your own chair or blanket to enjoy the lawn area during the event.
