Leashed dogs are welcome at this annual event that features live music, German food from local food trucks, festival games like stein hoisting and a lederhosen and dirndl costume contest, and more! Dachshunds and Dachshund mixes are welcome to participate in the Annual Dachshund Races!

This annual Wiener Dog Derby takes place during Oktoberfest at Southern Appalachian Brewery. The number of heats will depend on how many dogs are registered. Costumes are encouraged! All breeds are welcome to attend Oktoberfest, but races are for Dachshunds or Dachshund mixes only.

This 5K event supports drug and alcohol treatment, allowing participants to walk or run with a dog. The theme of this year's event celebrates movies and theater, reflecting Maddie's passion for films, theater, and acting. The event will feature an out-and-back course on the Muddy Creek Greenway, along with activities like a raffle, awards presentation, snacks and a silent auction.

This pet-friendly service celebrates animal companions with personal blessings from Pastor Jeff. Guests can meet adoptable dogs from Faith Hope & Love Rescue and bring their own pets for a blessing. Furry, feathered, and even scaly friends are welcome to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi at this annual outdoor blessing. In celebration of this day, they’re collecting cat and dog food and other pet supplies for Blue Ridge Humane Society at all services on this day as well.

Furry, feathered, and scaly companions are invited to this special service in the Wilderness Chapel on the Trails of St. John in Flat Rock. All domestic animals are welcome to receive a blessing, or you may bring a stuffed animal or photo instead. The service honors the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi and his legacy of peace and love for all creatures. In case of rain, the service will move indoors to the Parish Hall.

Guests and their pets are welcome to gather in the outdoor courtyard to receive a special blessing. All pets are welcome. Please ensure they're friendly and leashed/secured. Guests may also bring photos and or favorite toys for those pets who they've lost.
