Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with local vendors, pet-friendly activities, refreshing drinks, and plenty of opportunities to socialize with fellow dog lovers!

This 5K event supports drug and alcohol treatment, allowing participants to walk or run with a dog. The theme of this year's event celebrates movies and theater, reflecting Maddie's passion for films, theater, and acting. The event will feature an out-and-back course on the Muddy Creek Greenway, along with activities like a raffle, awards presentation, snacks and a silent auction.

On a select Saturday each month, this dog-friendly art festival features dozens of juried artists and craftspeople showcasing handmade jewelry, pottery, fiber art, glass, photography, paintings and more along Park Avenue. The event also offers Paws in the Park, a designated area with chairs, water and treats where dogs can cool down and relax. The event takes place rain or shine.

This pet-friendly service celebrates animal companions with personal blessings from Pastor Jeff. Guests can meet adoptable dogs from Faith Hope & Love Rescue and bring their own pets for a blessing. Pets must remain leashed or secured in a carrier. Photos of animals unable to attend can also be brought for a blessing.

This dog-friendly Barktoberfest features interactive activities and canine contests, with opportunities for pups to show off their skills and have some fun. Guests can also visit local pet vendors for special treats or get a caricature of their dog. All dogs must remain on leash.

Guests and their pets are welcome to gather in the outdoor courtyard to receive a special blessing. All pets are welcome. Please ensure they're friendly and leashed/secured. Guests may also bring photos and or favorite toys for those pets who they've lost.

Start your Saturday with a refreshing outdoor yoga session open to all levels. Bring your well-behaved dog (must register in advance) to stretch, breathe, and enjoy the morning together. After class, relax with food and bottomless mimosas as the bar opens. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get set up, and bring vaccination records if you aren't already a member.

Let your pup socialize, play and make new pals while you connect with fellow dog lovers in the community. Enjoy a safe and friendly environment with drinking water provided to keep pets happy and hydrated. Owners must bring proof of rabies vaccination, clean up after their pet, and ensure Fido wears an appropriate collar.

This annual Wiener Dog races invite pups of all ages to compete in divisions for puppies, juniors, adults, seniors, special-needs dogs and mixed breeds. Dogs race in heats on a 25- to 35-foot track, with winners advancing to semifinals and division champions receiving awards. Dogs must be at least 4 months old. Owners may use treats or favorite toys to encourage their dogs, but cannot touch them while they're racing.

Celebrate fall Bavarian-style with Fido at this annual event! Leashed dogs are welcome, but aren't allowed on the deck or inside the lodge. This family-friendly festival offers live music, traditional Bavarian food and beer, arts and crafts vendors, and fun activities for all ages, including hayrides, bounce houses, pumpkin bowling, and water balloon tosses. Admission, parking and shuttle service are free.

The parade is free and open to all well-behaved pets and their humans! Participants can compete for cash prizes and local gift certificates in fun categories.

This dog-friendly Halloween festival features an afternoon of spooky fun for the whole family! Highlights include games and activities in Memorial Park, downtown trick-or-treating, the famous Monster March costume parade along Main Street and a costume contest.

Leashed dogs are welcome at this beloved autumn tradition set at the scenic base of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Held over six fall weekends, the celebration blends classic farm charm with festive fun. Explore 10 acres of pumpkins, wander through a 5‑acre corn maze, and embark on hayrides to the patch. Seasonal treats like kettle corn, cider, ice cream, and local beer and wine add to the festive flavors. The event will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 4 PM until 8 PM, and Saturday and Sundays from 10 AM until 5 PM.

Celebrate Fall with Fido with a visit to the Biltmore Estate to view the spectacular property. The grounds are perfect for walking your pets, but please keep them securely leashed at all times. Dogs aren't permitted inside any buildings, but are allowed on the outdoor patios of Bistro and Cedric’s Tavern for dining.

This family- and dog-friendly holiday celebration kicks off the season with games, live music, caroling, hot chocolate and visits with Santa. The town is illuminated during the festivities, and the celebration is followed the next morning by the annual Christmas Parade along Main Street!

Bring Fido along for a festive drive-through Christmas light extravaganza! Enjoy a 4-mile journey through three million twinkling lights, plus the chance to take a lap around "The World's Fastest Half-Mile." Please ensure your pup remains in the car with you at all times.

Bring Fido to stroll through Blowing Rock and see all the gorgeous ice sculptures during Blowing Rock WinterFest! Artisan Ice Sculptures is one of only five Master Ice Carvers in the United States. A dozen ice sculptures will be on display in front of businesses in town. Please note that the duration of the ice art is dependent on the weather.

If you're attending the Blowing Rock WinterFest with Fido, don't miss the annual Polar Bear Plunge at Chetola Lake! Leashed dogs are welcome as spectators to watch brave human participants take a daring dip into icy waters. Spend the weekend in a dog-friendly room on site at Chetola Resort! The plunge starts at 10 AM and plungers must be checked-in by 9:30 AM.

Bring Fido to the Village of Blowing Rock to celebrate the fun side of winter at this annual event! Activities throughout the weekend include the WinterPaws Dog Show, ice carvings at the Artisan Ice Stroll, an icy Polar Bear Plunge in Chetola Lake, a winter beer garden, and more. Not all activities are dog friendly, so be sure to inquire first before bringing Fido.
